• Encompasses eleven counties -- Albany, Essex, Fulton, Hamilton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren and Washington
• Represents over one hundred twenty thousand (120,000) union members and their families
• Includes five Central Labor Council (Albany, Glens Falls, Saratoga, Schenectady and Troy

It is the intention of the Capital District Area Labor Federation to implement the goals of the New York State AFL-CIO New Alliance Program in building a more unified union movement for working families in this Capital District area.

The goals and objectives of the New Alliance will increase the scope and effectiveness of the labor movement's organizing, political action and legislative efforts, community outreach and the Area Labor Federation will concentrate on making these objectives become an integral part of union movement activities.
